Mendo Raises €12 Million to Tackle AI’s Biggest Corporate Blind Spot: Adoption

French startup Mendo has raised €12 million to help enterprises turn AI ambition into reality. As companies rush to deploy generative AI and autonomous agents, the Paris-based startup is betting that the real challenge is no longer the technology itself, but getting employees to use it.

The Mendo team in full celebration mode.

Over the past two years, businesses across Europe have invested heavily in generative AI. From ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to Gemini and Mistral AI, the tools are now widely available. Yet despite the enthusiasm, many organizations continue to struggle to generate meaningful returns from their AI investments.

According to Deloitte’s State of AI in Enterprise 2026 report, workforce access to AI has expanded by 50% in just one year, with around 60% of workers now equipped with sanctioned AI tools. However, the report also reveals that fewer than 60% of those workers use it in their daily workflows, with employees often failing to integrate it.

For Quentin Amaudry, co-founder and CEO of Mendo, this gap between access and adoption represents one of the defining challenges of the AI era.

"The real problem in enterprise AI isn't the budget," he says. "It's adoption. Companies buy the tools, but employees use them only marginally. Management often doesn't know where to start when it comes to integrating AI into everyday processes."

That challenge has attracted investors. Last week, Mendo announced a €12 million Series A round led by Ventech and Educapital, with participation from Tomcat and OVNI. The funding follows a €3.5 million seed round completed in late 2024.

The startup now plans to accelerate product development, expand internationally, and strengthen its position as what it describes as an "AI adoption platform" for enterprise customers.

Building the Missing Layer Between AI and Employees

Founded in Paris in 2021 by Amaudry and CTO Alexandre Pinon, Mendo emerged from a simple observation.
